Officene Universelle Buly

Officine Universelle Buly looks like a perfectly preserved 19th-century Paris apothecary—but it’s actually a very intentional reconstruction of one. The name traces back to Jean-Vincent Bully, a real perfumer who opened a shop on Rue Saint-Honoré in 1803. What you see today is a 2014 resurrection which didn’t just revive the name – instead the modern founders rebuilt an entire universe around it asking “what if this apothecary had never disappeared?” The product range includes fragrance, skincare and grooming products - all in perfect packaging. The brand is best known for its monogrammed items – think combs and lip gloss cases (personalized in almost real time) as well as the exquisite candles in marble vessels. Packaging is a major part of the experience – most items are customized on the spot with hand calligraphy. Find locations on the Left Bank and in the Marais - plus a perfect little shop-in-shop in Le Bon Marche. The Marais location also has an exquisite old school Coffee Bar.
