Le Grand Cafe
The new “wow” room in the city. I love it when a restaurateur builds a new space that feels like it has been there forever – think NYC’s Balthazaar or Pastis or Ciccio Mio or Armitage Ale House in Chicago. The massive grand brasserie style dining room was born alongside the large-scale remodel of The Grand Palais a few years back. And it perfectly channels the timeless glamour of classic Paris restaurants - with large mirrors, polished wood and crisp tablecloths. The menu is broad and appealing - filled with traditional French favs delivered by servers with a confident ease. The Raw Bar items, Deviled Eggs, Artichoke Salad and Poulet à la Crème are personal favs. It’s buzzy (with live music in the evenings), elegant, and a perfect choice for a long lunch or leisurely dinner.
