CXXVI is a fine heritage brand based in new york city. they describe their hand crafted pieces as “american made with a matching aesthetic” and most contain their signature americana inspired illustrated designs. founded in 2009 by old college buddies matt gorton and jon contino, CXXVI clothing company is an offshoot of onetwentysix, gorton and contino’s NYC-based design studio (CXXVI represents the roman numerals for “126.”) the line’s success has proved that the two are just as skilled at creating americana-infused men’s tees, bags and hoodies, as they are at designing campaigns for their clients. in the few years since the line’s debut, the brand has found its way all around the world. but given its stateside aesthetic, it’s only fitting that every piece in the collection is all american-made. space519 is pleased to announce their partnership with London-based TOPMAN for a pop-up shop open now through the end of july. the temporary “shop-in-shop” features a carefully edited selection of the forward thinking men’s fashion brand’s latest summer offerings. pieces range from suiting to swim, from t-shirts to penny loafers - all at the sharp price-points which made TOPMAN famous. the instalation offers consumers a first peak at the international mega brand launching a 300,000 square foot flagship store with TOPSHOP on michigan avenue this fall. “we are delighted to be previewing within space519 ahead of our official flagship launch this fall. space519 has a great design aesthetic and carries some excellent brands so we are very pleased to have been invited to be part of the mix this june,” noted david shepherd,” managing director of TOPMAN. new pieces are arriving bi-weekly, so look for tweets announcing new arrivals.
