chicago botanic garden 2013 antiques and garden fair

stop by our booth as we “pop-up” this spring at the chicago botanic gardens annual antique and garden fair. we will have a fresh selection of furniture (including some amazingly rehabbed vintage chairs), art,  home goods, and an assortment of art books and women’s accessories. this year celebrate with their theme ”color in the garden: an artist’s view,” and find inspiration for a renewed garden palette among the stunning display gardens and great mix of vendors selling exquisite vintage items and garden-related merchandise from around the united states and europe.  also absorb the valuable insight of design and garden experts at key lectures throughout the weekend.  and at 2:00 on saturday be sure to check the “set” we created for the saturday style blogger panel where bloggers jennifer boles, marisa marcantonio, and emily evans eerdmans discuss color and style inspirations for your home and lifestyle.  the panel will be moderated by julia reed.  additional tickets required.

decades “pops up” this spring

the decades roadshow event is returning to chicago this march for its fifth appearance at space519.  people in the know know that while in los angeles, decades is the go to spot for the very best in gently used designer couture.  this fall, decades (part V) will return to chicago – bigger and badder than ever. with more shoes (many never worn), more handbags  (they know the chicago ladies love chanel), more dresses (think the world’s chicest designers), and more gowns (many of which have been to the world’s best events). the event is sure to be another smash with thousands of people and designer pieces passing through space519 during this fun and fashionable spring weekend. and enjoy this special chance to chat and shop with decades owners christos garkinos and cameron silver about their bravo reality show “dukes of melrose”  premiering march 6.

join designer barri leiner grant as she helps hand pick pieces from her equisite jewelry collection - m & b vintage.  the line (which she curates along with her business partner marie) is a fantastic assortment of both one-of-a-kind found pieces and reimagined classics.  but the part our clients love best is that most pieces can be customized and/or hand engraved.  barri will have her “charm bar” with her that day as well, allowing you to create one of a kind bracelets from the thousands of individual charms she has collected through the years.  pieces ordered that day will be complete for holiday giving.

meet designers meredith and wendell german at a special in-store event celebrating all things meredith wendell.  the collection, founded in 2008 by the husband and wife design team, is a new york based resort-inspired accessories brand, which combines the unique use of color and sporty american style.  the pair will be bringing items from their current spring season – including their signature belts and handbags. clients will also be able to pre-order pieces from the meredith wendell holiday/resort collection. and as a special fun bonus for space519 shoppers, meredith wendell will have a special assortment of monogrammable pieces available for the day (including the shavers pictured here - all exclusive to the event).  so stop by, have some champagne and chocolates, and meet meredith and wendell german.  nothing says summer like bright happy italian leather.
